Year 4 pupils thoroughly enjoyed their recent visit to Drax Power Station. During the visit, they learned how electricity is generated using biomass and discovered how the power station produces energy for over five million homes across the UK.

Pupils also took part in a guided tour of the vast site, which covers an area larger than 1,000 football pitches. The visit was a fantastic opportunity to bring their science learning to life and deepen their understanding of how electricity is produced.
