At Lindley Junior School, we use educational visits and visitors to enrich and enhance our curriculum, bringing learning to life through memorable first-hand experiences. Each year group takes part in carefully planned visits that support and deepen learning across a range of curriculum areas. We also welcome a variety of visitors into school, including authors, historians, scientists, artists, and specialist workshop providers, who help to inspire and engage our pupils.

All pupils in Years 5 and 6 have the opportunity to participate in outdoor and adventurous activities. Year 5 pupils attend a residential visit to Robinwood Activity Centre in Todmorden, while Year 6 pupils enjoy an overnight camping experience through The Big School Camp. These experiences help to develop teamwork, resilience, confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills.
